Partners in Care was established in 1983 as a for-profit subsidiary corporation of Visiting Nurse Service of New York (VNSNY). In 1999 Partners became a not-for-profit corporation. Partners in Care is currently the largest licensed private care agency in New York City, employing over 6,000 trained home health aides and nurses.
In addition to home health aide (HHA) and nursing services, Partners provides physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and social work services. Partners is licensed to provide these services in the five boroughs of New York City, Nassau, Suffolk, Westchester and Rockland Counties. Partners has offices in midtown Manhattan as well as in Nassau and Westchester counties. Partners HHAs speak many different languages, including Spanish, Russian, Chinese, Korean and other languages.
In collaboration with VNSNY, Partners provides community benefit services. In 2006, Partners provided flu immunizations to over 51,000 senior citizens in the five boroughs of NYC, Westchester and Nassau. We also launched a new Corporate Wellness Program on "Successful Caregiving." (for more info see "Our Services").
