Pairing You With an Aide

When you contact Partners in Care, we ask numerous questions in order to provide the best care for your loved one. Your answers help us select the home health aide who best fits your needs.

SAMPLE QUESTIONS ASKED BY OUR HOME CARE EXPERTS

  • How has your mother been doing since her husband passed away?

  • Who watches your father while you're not there?

  • What system do you use to find out if your mom has had an accident at home?

  • Does your mother tend to overstate her health or downplay her pain?

  • How would you describe your mother's mobility?

  • How well does your father handle change?

  • Is your mother generally accepting of help?

  • What kind of characteristics in a home aide would best help your mother?

  • Do you worry when your mother tries to cook in the kitchen by herself?

  • Does your parent sometimes have trouble remembering their surroundings?

  • How frequently does your father wander off?

  • Who makes sure your mother is taking the proper medication per doctor's orders when you're not at home?

  • Does your father need safety rails in the bathtub?

  • Is someone in your household trained in the medical equipment your father needs?

  • Does a vision, hearing or breathing impairment limit a lot of the daily activities that your mother should be doing?

  • Does your mother become agitated or even abusive when there is a significant change in surroundings?

  • Has your father become significantly more forgetful recently?

  • Is your father aware of which medications he's allergic to?

  • Does your mom know which of her medications shouldn't be taken on an empty stomach?
