Partners in Care Nurse Honored

Hillory Thorpe, RN, BSN, a nurse and case manager at Partners in Care, was one of twenty-three nurses honored at an awards dinner during National Nurses Week on May 11, 2009. Ms. Thorpe received one of the 2009 Nursing Esprit Awards from the Visiting Nurse Service of New York. (Partners in Care is an affiliate of the Visiting Nurse Service of New York.) 

The ESPRIT Award honors staff members who live by the VNSNY values. The award takes its name from the acronym formed by the six values: Excellence, Service to Customers, People, Fiscal Responsibility, Initiative, and Teamwork.

A frequent representative of Partners in Care in media interviews, Ms. Thorpe relishes the sense that she brings patients and their relatives peace of mind during troubled times. She works with the entire Parters in Care Team to ensure that some of the most challenging patients are cared for in a timely, consistent manner. Congratulations and continued to success to Hillory!
