Living with Stroke

At Partners in Care, we help you follow a plan of care that addresses the challenges specific to your condition and your life. Our home health aides receive specialized training to care for patients with chronic symptoms that are associated with stroke. Partners in Care home health aides can help you live more safely, comfortably and independently by:

  • Developing strategies for verbal and nonverbal communication
  • Assisting with a customized exercise regimen, initially designed by a Partners in Care physical therapist, to combat one-sided weakness
  • Teaching client and loved ones to recognize symptoms that require immediate medical attention (e.g. inability to move a limb, difficulty speaking, blurred vision)
